Donna Rhodes Bull spent seven years in the personal healthcare market before founding Nautica Organics in 2006. The company’s initial focus was to supply the health store market, but has grown into a worldwide supplier of Natural and Organic oils and functional ingredients,. These are sourced from Ethical Producers and Suppliers across the world, supplying natural and organic personal care manufactures, as well as continuing to supply a comprehensive branded range to health stores.
Nautica Organics is a one-stop shop for natural and organic raw materials.
Donna originally started Nautica Organics with the Health Shop range. She worked at Wheelers Pharmacy in Hout Bay, Healthy Living in Cape Town Waterfront, and then at Healthy Living in La Lucia Mall for seven years before starting Nautica Organics.
Her Nautica Organics journey began when she discovered a local organic rosehip oil producer, sparking her passion for natural and organic oils. Organic rosehip oil and the Organic Rosehip Radiance Serum were the first two products in the range.
Once the branded range was started, Donna started selling Organic Rose Hip oil, Organic Marula Oil, Mafura butter etc in bulk to skin care manufacturers in South Africa and Europe.
She then noticed there was a gap in the market for Natural and Organic oils and Raw materials for Personal care Manufacture locally and abroad.
Donna Started selling oils in smaller pack sizes than the larger companies at the time so new start-up companies were able to start their businesses.
Larger companies could do Research and development using smaller pack sizes.
When customers enquired for other products, Donna grew the range into functional ingredients, Botanicals, Actives, Emulsifiers, Preservatives etc.
Over the past 19 years, the company has Grown Organically into a Bulk wholesaler of small and large pack sizes supplying smaller and very large companies across Southern Africa and the world.
Nautica Has been selling Certified Organic oils since 2007 (KIWA – BCS Oko-Garantie GMBH) EU and NOP.
Nautica Organics supplies Natural and certified Organic raw materials for personal care product manufacture, Soap Makers, Candle makers, perfumers and Pet Grooming and Health products.
Nautica Organics also has a health Store range of Natural and Organic essential and Cold pressed oils, Hydrosols, Shea butters and more. These can be bought through independent health stores country wide as well as neighbouring countries and Mauritius.
We supply natural and organic raw materials for personal care, soap, candles, perfume, and pet grooming.
Our branded range includes oils, hydrosols, and shea butters, available from health stores.
